This site aims to bring you useful information on wargaming terrain and scenery making. The focus is on making terrain suitable for playing table-top war games such as War Machine. Games Workshop have told me " that if Warhammer games are named, other systems such as War Machine should also be named", this is because they are afraid that my 1337 terrain making skills threaten the sales of their newly released range of plastic terrain. Therefore all I will say about Warhammer and Lord of the Rings is that they are the two games that started me making terrain, my son played 40K (but no longer does) and I play LotR. Personally I prefer making terrain for LotR games as that game allows the use of more realistic terrain features and does not require unnatural flat areas to accomodate whole units. GW plastic terrain is quite simply great ... but the range is limited and maybe (just maybe) it would be a pain in the ass storing the fragile pieces of plastic. I wish that the GW legal representative had take the time to read my legal disclaimer and realised that I have never attempted to cash in on their intellectual property rights, but no - they just send out shitty emails demanding that I "do this" or "don't do that". Well, buy their products and you are supporting their company, the choice is yours, there are many game systems and miniature manufacturers in the world and it has never been easier to shop around. I aim to bring you useful information on wargaming terrain and scenery making whatever game system you use. Terrain making is fairly easy, cheap and great fun - the important thing is to never think that you can't make terrain and scenery. |
